Police Release CCTV in Search for Missing Teenager
Authorities have shared footage of the last known sighting of 13-year-old Lillia at Manchester Piccadilly bus station.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) has released CCTV footage showing the last known sighting of Lillia, a 13-year-old girl who has been missing from Bolton since September 11. Officers identified a sighting of her at Manchester Piccadilly bus station on September 14 at 10:36 BST.
Lillia was last seen by her family over a week ago. The latest CCTV footage places her at Piccadilly bus station after she boarded the number 36 bus in Salford earlier that morning. This bus route travels from Bolton through Salford and into Manchester city center.
Ch Supt Helen Critchley stated that officers are making every effort to locate Lillia, reviewing hours of CCTV footage and exploring all avenues. "We can now confirm that our last known current sighting was of Lillia at Manchester Piccadilly bus station at 10.36am on the morning of Monday 14 September," Critchley said.
Police have distributed hundreds of leaflets and are using an advertising van with Lillia's photograph in Piccadilly Gardens as part of their ongoing efforts to find her. Officers are also investigating a potential sighting in McDonald's at Piccadilly Gardens on Sunday, September 13, around 8:20 PM.
Lillia is described as white, slim, approximately 5ft 5in tall, with light brown hair and wearing glasses. Authorities are keeping an open mind regarding the possibility that she may have traveled outside of the Manchester area.
GMP is urging anyone with information about Lillia's whereabouts or movements, particularly anyone who was on the number 36 bus on the day she went missing or anyone who saw her in Piccadilly Gardens or McDonald's, to contact them via 101 or the Major Incident Portal. Critchley emphasized that her family is eager for her safe return.
