Police detectives are preparing to interview five Sydney Swans players as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged sexual assaults at a Melbourne hotel. The players, identified as Isaac Heeney, Chad Warner, Nick Blakey, Riley Bice, and James Jordon, are expected to be spoken to by detectives from Victoria Police’s Sexual Crimes Squad, who were reportedly traveling to Sydney.

All five players have denied any criminal wrongdoing, and no charges have been laid in relation to the allegations. The investigation centers on a two-hour incident at the Pullman Melbourne on the Park hotel in East Melbourne during the early hours of Monday, August 17. The booking allegedly involved three adult entertainers.

The incident reportedly followed Sydney’s victory over Essendon at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. All three women who attended the hotel room have alleged that sexual assaults occurred during the booking and have since engaged civil lawyers. One of the women told News Corp that nine men were present in the room.

Prominent Melbourne criminal lawyer Tony Hargreaves has been retained to represent the players. The specific activities of one player are reportedly being examined under caution.

Former AFL star Taylor Adams was also reportedly with the group during the night, though his involvement at the time of the alleged assaults remains unclear. The investigation is ongoing.
