Police Officer Accused in Double Murder Allegedly Accessed Gun Locker Day Before Deaths
New footage shows Beau Lamarre-Condon opening his gun locker at a Sydney police station prior to the alleged fatal shooting of his ex-boyfriend and another man.
Footage has emerged showing Beau Lamarre-Condon, an officer accused in the shooting deaths of Jesse Baird and Luke Davies, opening his gun locker at a Sydney police station the day before the alleged murders. Lamarre-Condon, 31, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder and one count of aggravated break and enter in relation to the deaths of Baird, 26, and Davies, 29, at a Paddington terrace on February 19, 2024.
The trial is currently underway in the New South Wales Supreme Court and is expected to last 60 days. The court released footage from February 16 and 18, 2024, showing Lamarre-Condon at the Balmain Police Station before and after shifts. Prosecutors allege that Lamarre-Condon did not return his police-issued firearm after his shift on February 18 and instead used it to commit the alleged murders the following morning. The court has also heard he is accused of breaking into Baird's home in August of the previous year and stealing his phone and wallet.
