Podcaster Urges Supporters to Keep 'Pistols Firing' at Vice President Vance
Jennifer Welch's remarks on the 'I've Had It' podcast have drawn criticism for their violent rhetoric.
Podcaster Jennifer Welch has called for supporters to "keep pistols firing" at Vice President J.D. Vance, urging action to defeat him in a potential 2028 presidential bid. Welch made the remarks on her "I’ve Had It" podcast, expressing strong disapproval of Vance's political trajectory and personal life.
During the podcast segment, Welch accused Vance of embracing a "woke era" and marrying Usha Vance, an Indian American, and having children, only to later view his family as a burden. She characterized Vance as an "antichrist-style sociopath," suggesting a connection to billionaire megadonor Peter Thiel. "We need to keep firing, pistols firing at all time towards this guy, because he is not fit to be a father. He's not fit to be a husband. He's not fit to be a vice president," Welch stated.
She also referred to Vance as a "failed drag queen and a pathological liar to his core" and declared that Democrats would "go to the polls and kick their a--es." The comments, widely shared on social media, have drawn criticism from various commentators.
Elizabeth Pipko, host of "Made in America with Elizabeth Pipko," commented on the rhetoric. "The use of the word 'pistols,' and the suggestion that people need to keep firing them at Vice President JD Vance, is not just horrific and dangerous, it's the kind of rhetoric that raises serious questions about whether a threat has been made and whether authorities may need to investigate," Pipko said. Pipko added that Welch's comments suggest intent and a disregard for potential risks. "Political disagreements are one thing. This is vile," Pipko stated. "condemning language that invokes violence against him should be the easiest thing in the world."
This incident occurs amid heightened scrutiny of political rhetoric that invokes violence. Earlier, Welch had reportedly laughed on her podcast while sharing footage of a protester celebrating the death of Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk in 2025. At the time, Welch said that Democrats needed to cater to such voters.
Vance's team, the White House, and Peter Thiel did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Fox News Digital.
