Podcaster Jennifer Welch Calls for Investigation of Barron and Tiffany Trump
During a discussion with former CNN anchor Jim Acosta, the 'I've Had Enough' podcast host expressed a desire for the Trump children to face scrutiny over alleged financial improprieties.
Jennifer Welch, host of the popular podcast "I've Had Enough," has called for Barron and Tiffany Trump to be investigated. The sentiment was shared during a recent book event in Washington, D.C., where Welch discussed her new book, "Not Today, Fascists," with former CNN anchor Jim Acosta.
Acosta brought up Jared Kushner's business dealings in the Middle East, questioning the billions he made while involved in peace negotiations. In response, Welch broadened her call for scrutiny to include President Donald Trump's children.
"I want Barron, Jared, I'm gonna throw Tiffany in, and of course 'Dumb and Dumber.' I want them all investigated. Every single one of them investigated," Welch stated at the event, held at the Politics and Prose bookstore. She later clarified that while she does not have a "rabid" "Lock 'em up mentality," she believes they should "have trials." Welch added, "And I want, if they stole money or [there] were improper business dealings, all of their money taken away."
Acosta responded with laughter, remarking, "Lock some of them up, maybe?"
Welch's book, published on October 6, explores her views on the intersection of religion and politics in America, arguing that the country is moving toward a theocracy and fascism, and that the Trump administration is negatively impacting Americans. The publisher stated that the book aims to equip readers with the information needed to discuss political issues and win elections.
The Trump family's business activities have faced significant scrutiny. Hillary Clinton recently commented on the wealth the family has accrued during Donald Trump's presidency, suggesting the profits could fund substantial social programs. According to reports, Donald Trump has profited significantly from cryptocurrency ventures and oil and gas stocks. Forbes reported his net worth at an estimated $7 billion, a figure he was reportedly $2.7 billion richer than when he won the 2024 election, marking it as the most any individual has profited from politics in American history.
Welch and Acosta also discussed other media figures and outlets during the event. Welch's book has appeared on The New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists.
