A Planned Parenthood strategist was recorded during a live comedy show making explicit comments to a performer posing as a 19-year-old, including stating, "I woke up today wanting to breed." The incident occurred during "Fishin’ 4 Luv Live," a touring show where performers Ivy Wolk and Roey Rozen create fake dating profiles and interact with matches in front of an audience.
Wolk and Rozen, who pose as a 19-year-old named "Lana," use the same photos for each performance. At a show in New York City's Roxy Cinema, they engaged with a man who identified himself as a Planned Parenthood strategist.
Wolk initiated the conversation by stating she had an abortion the previous week and did not have a good experience. The strategist responded, "I need to make it up to you somehow." Wolk then escalated the interaction by saying, "Put another baby in me. Let's have a redo. You can play doctor this time," which elicited gasps and laughter from the audience.
The strategist's reply, "I woke up today wanting to breed," drew shocked responses. Wolk continued to press the interaction, asking the strategist for semen, to which he responded, "It’s my duty at this point. Let’s make it happen."
During the exchange, the strategist's Tinder profile was displayed, reportedly mentioning an open relationship, an affinity for "vibrators and vasectomies," and a desire to "join existing couples."
Wolk described the show as an exercise in "depravity" for all involved, aiming to bring "sicko-ness out into the open." She stated that while the incident was humorous, it wasn't intended as a political statement against the abortion rights movement but rather as a commentary on perceived hypocrisy.
"Fishin’ 4 Luv Live" has previously featured similar segments where participants are tricked into confessing love, agreeing to sexual domination, or writing romantic material, which is then mocked by the audience. Wolk has appeared in the NBC sitcom "English Teacher" and the film "Anora."
