A Gulfstream G100 aircraft carrying six individuals has gone missing off the coast of Nantucket, prompting a search by the U.S. Coast Guard. The plane was en route from Bermuda to Boston when it lost contact with the Federal Aviation Administration.

The aircraft was scheduled to land at Boston Logan International Airport at 1:25 a.m. Saturday but lost contact with air traffic control at 12:41 a.m. Saturday. The operator of the flight is Latitude Air Ambulance, an Ontario-based company.

Two Coast Guard aircraft are currently engaged in the search operations just south of Nantucket. As of Saturday morning, there were no further updates on the status of the aircraft or its occupants.
