A prominent Pittsburgh lawyer, Paul Robinson, has been charged with aiding his son and others in a cocaine-trafficking ring that operated out of fraternities at Penn State University. Robinson, an attorney with Meyer, Darragh, Buckler, Bebeneck & Eck, is accused of attempting to conceal evidence, including a safe containing cash and drugs, according to federal prosecutors.

His son, Thomas Robinson, is among 14 individuals charged in connection with the alleged multi-state operation, which involved the Sigma Chi and Delta Upsilon fraternities. Both Thomas Robinson and another individual, Agostino Abbatiello, are described as the alleged ringleaders of the drug ring.

Paul Robinson faces felony charges of tampering, hindering apprehension, and concealing evidence. His law firm profile indicates that Thomas Robinson is one of his children. The elder Robinson earned his law degree in 1992 and specializes in transportation, commercial, construction, and insurance law. He is admitted to practice law in both Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

The charges against the elder Robinson stem from allegations that he attempted to obstruct the investigation into his son's alleged criminal activities.
