'Pioneer Woman' Ree Drummond's Foster Son Arrested on Drug and Assault Charges

Jamar Goff, the foster son of "Pioneer Woman" star Ree Drummond, has been arrested and faces multiple charges, including drug possession and assault on a police officer. The 23-year-old was booked on Sept. 15 at the University of Alabama Birmingham.

According to inmate records from Jefferson County Jail in Birmingham, Alabama, Goff is also being held on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and attempting to elude a police officer. His bond has been set at $35,000.

Court documents indicate that officers responded to a call regarding a suspicious individual on campus and found Goff sleeping. After initially letting him go, officers approached him again upon learning of an outstanding warrant. Goff then allegedly fled and struck an officer.

A search of Goff's backpack and person reportedly uncovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Court documents specify the methamphetamine found was 1.8 grams, and referred to as "ice" by Goff, a term associated with the drug.

Drummond, who has hosted her Food Network show "The Pioneer Woman" since 2010, revealed in her 2020 book "Frontier Follies" that Goff had been living with her family as a foster son for about a year and a half. She described him as an "inextricable part of our wacky family."

Ree and Ladd Drummond have four biological children: Alex, Paige, Bryce, and Todd. Drummond has previously stated her cautious approach to sharing information about her foster son due to state agency rules and a desire to protect his privacy.
