Pima County Sheriff's Department Provides Update on Nancy Guthrie Kidnapping Case
Investigators traveled to Florida to meet with lab scientists to advance the DNA analysis in the nine-month-old missing person's case.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department provided an update on the investigation into the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie, the mother of NBC journalist Savannah Guthrie. The department stated on Friday that it continues to work with the Nancy Guthrie Task Force on DNA analysis in an effort to advance the case, which occurred nine months ago.
Investigators traveled to Florida earlier this month to meet with lab scientists to explore further options for advancing the investigation. The Sheriff's Department emphasized that no tip is considered too small and that any piece of information could be critical to solving the case.
Nancy Guthrie was kidnapped from her home in Tucson, Arizona, on February 1. The department reminded the public to submit any relevant information that might aid in the investigation.
