Pilot Killed in Mid-Air Glider Collision in Upstate New York
One aircraft landed safely while the other crashed in a remote area, resulting in a fatality.

A pilot died Friday when two glider planes collided in mid-air over Upstate New York, authorities reported.
The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. in Edinburg, a town located approximately 20 miles from Saratoga Springs.
According to New York State Police, one of the aircraft managed to land safely at the nearby Plateau Sky Ranch Airport. The second glider crashed in a secluded area.
Searchers located the body of the pilot, who was the sole occupant of the crashed plane, at the site of the second aircraft's impact. The identity of the deceased pilot has not yet been publicly released.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
