Airline pilot Marnie Munns had a unique group of passengers when she flew her daughter, her daughter's classmates, and teachers to Iceland for a school trip. Munns captained a Jet2 flight from Stansted Airport to Reykjavik on Monday, with her 17-year-old daughter Lillian and approximately 30 other individuals from Framlingham College, Suffolk, aboard.

Munns adjusted her schedule to be able to pilot the Airbus A321neo for the flight. Lillian, a geography student, expressed her surprise and excitement, noting that it's not an everyday occurrence to travel to Iceland, let alone be flown there by one's mother. "When I first told her I was doing it, she couldn't believe that I was actually going to do it and had followed through on it," Munns said.

Pilots often seek opportunities to fly their family members, describing it as a special experience. Munns called it a "huge privilege" to be in the cockpit for this particular journey, sharing the personal and enjoyable day with her daughter and her classmates.
