Picky Sleeper Finds Comfort in Customizable Pluto Pillow

One self-described picky sleeper has found a solution to their extensive pillow collection: the customizable Pluto Pillow. After a two-week review period, the pillow, which is tailored to individual sleep preferences, was deemed "100% worth it."

The Pluto Pillow, which has a customizable design, is created based on a questionnaire that assesses a user's preferred firmness, required support, and sleeping positions. The brand, which appeared on "Shark Tank" in 2021, offers a 125-night risk-free trial, allowing customers to test the pillow and request modifications if needed.

The reviewer found their Pluto Pillow to be supportive at a medium-firm setting and suitable for a hot sleeper. While initially feeling slightly firmer than expected, it proved ideal for side sleeping. The pillow features a foam inner core for support, surrounded by down-alternative microfibers for softness. Both components are adjusted based on the user's specific sleep preferences.

While not explicitly a cooling pillow, the reviewer noted that it did not retain heat and felt cool to the touch, especially when paired with specific pillow covers. The pillow's width was also a significant positive, offering ample surface area and preventing deflation at the edges. Unlike many tested pillows, the Pluto Pillow arrived with no initial scent.

The Pluto Pillow is priced at $149 for the original size and $179 for the king size. The cost reflects the personalized design process. The company offers free shipping and the extended trial period to ensure customer satisfaction. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that adults aged 18 to 60 get at least seven hours of sleep per night, highlighting the importance of a supportive pillow for overall sleep health and preventing neck strain.

Compared to other pillows, including the Casper Hybrid Snow Pillow, the Pluto Pillow's key differentiator is its extensive customization. While some pillows offer limited firmness options, Pluto designs each pillow to align with individual sleeping habits and comfort levels. The reviewer found the width and customizable support to be superior to other options.

Despite its higher price point and potential wait time for delivery, the reviewer concluded that the Pluto Pillow is a worthwhile investment for those seeking a personalized sleeping experience. The reviewer stated that it has become their primary pillow.

Testing involved sleeping on the Pluto Pillow for two weeks, integrating it into the nightly routine and comparing it with the Casper Hybrid Snow Pillow. The reviewer also tested its suitability for both side and back sleeping positions.
