Federal investigators are meticulously examining the Philadelphia home of Raymond R.C. Horsch, an erotica photographer who died last year at 82, as they explore the possibility that he may have been a serial killer for over three decades. The FBI's investigation at his residence, located at 417 West Chew Avenue in Philadelphia's Olney neighborhood, has uncovered a vast collection of over a million photographs and films. These materials reportedly depict women in various states of distress, appearing injured, unconscious, and possibly lifeless.

During his lifetime, Horsch made cryptic remarks to acquaintances. In one instance, while sharing a meal, he reportedly stated it was time for him to "do something else." This comment, made between bites of hummus and ricotta dip, has taken on a chilling new significance in light of the ongoing investigation.

Peter Crimmins, a veteran arts and culture reporter at Philadelphia's public radio station WHYY, interviewed Horsch twice in 2014. Crimmins recalled Horsch's provocative nature, noting that he once introduced himself by saying, "I'm a sociopath." Crimmins initially perceived Horsch as an artist pushing societal boundaries rather than a threat.

Court records indicate that Horsch was never charged in connection with the disappearances of several women, including Blair Tonzelli, who was reported missing in 2023, and Amy McHale, his ex-wife, who went missing in 2016. However, he was convicted in 2009 for attempting to lure a nine-year-old girl into his Jeep Wrangler.

Some of the discovered media materials allegedly show Horsch strangling a woman identified as Nicole Fusaro, who was reported missing in 2018. The extent of Horsch's alleged crimes and the number of victims remain under investigation as authorities continue to process the evidence seized from his home.
