PGA Tour Winner Jacob Bridgeman Appears at Trump Rally in South Carolina

PGA Tour winner Jacob Bridgeman appeared alongside former President Donald Trump at a rally held on the campus of Clemson University in South Carolina. Bridgeman, a South Carolina native who played collegiately at Clemson, was invited on stage and led the crowd in a Clemson chant before speaking.

Trump, who had been a recent attendee at both the Ryder Cup in New York and the Presidents Cup in Illinois, was in South Carolina to rally support for local Republican candidates. Bridgeman, who made the decisive putt for the American victory at the Presidents Cup in September, shared his thoughts on the event and his home state.

"I just thank President Donald Trump for having me here," Bridgeman stated. "It has been great to get to know him and to have him, as he mentioned, at the Presidents Cup, watching us have a pretty historic comeback on Sunday." He also thanked Presidents Cup captain Brandt Snedeker and expressed his pride in representing South Carolina.

Bridgeman, making his Presidents Cup debut, secured a 1-2-0 record in the tournament. His singles match victory on Sunday contributed to the American team's comeback after trailing by three points heading into the final day. The U.S. ultimately won the Presidents Cup with a 17-13 score.

Following the event, Snedeker credited Trump for providing energy to the team, stating that if they won, Trump would receive all the credit. Trump, who served as an honorary chairman for the Presidents Cup, had briefly addressed the crowd before play began, remarking on the team's reception and the nation's prosperity.
