PGA Tour Golfer Sahith Theegala Weds Influencer Julianna Chan in Hawaii
The couple celebrated with both a Hindu ceremony and a Western reception at The Ritz-Carlton Maui.
PGA Tour golfer Sahith Theegala married influencer Julianna 'Juju' Chan in a luxury wedding ceremony in Hawaii. The couple exchanged vows in a Hindu ceremony on Friday, followed by a Western celebration the next day at The Ritz-Carlton Maui. The weekend's festivities reportedly began with a 'Dumplings and Dosas' welcome party, designed to blend the couple's Chinese and South Indian heritages.
Photos from the wedding, which featured live ukulele music, showed the Hindu ceremony incorporating yellow and light pink hues. Chan, 29, wore a vibrant pink and red embroidered bridal lehenga skirt with a matching dupatta, while Theegala, 28, donned a traditional white sherwani and turban, adorned with a floral garland. The Western ceremony, held outdoors, adopted a green and neutral color palette, with Chan choosing a strapless lace wedding dress and Theegala wearing a black tuxedo.
Chan, who has a significant following on social media platforms like TikTok, shared glimpses of the preparations. In one video, wearing a white satin slip dress before the vows, she described the day as the "best day of my life actually." She also revealed that her wedding gift to Theegala was a Cartier Santos Chronograph watch, engraved with their wedding date, valued at $14,700.
Approximately 115 guests attended the celebration, including fellow golfer Akshay Bhatia, Theegala's longtime caddie Carl Smith, and Netflix's Full Swing producer Ella Briscoe. The PGA Tour's official Instagram page congratulated the couple on their marriage.
Social media posts from guests offered peeks at the wedding menu, which included a local greens salad and butternut squash ravioli. The newlyweds were later seen enjoying the island's waters.
Chan expressed that her wedding in Hawaii was an "absolute dream" and the couple's "favorite place in the world." She aimed for the event to reflect their "clean and modern" style while highlighting Hawaiian elements. Theegala emphasized the importance of his Indian heritage and Hindu culture, stating that incorporating the Hindu ceremony alongside the Western one represented a "great blend of our two cultures that have shaped my life." He added that it was "really special" to have their families come together in two settings to share their love for each other.
The couple, who have been together for four years, first met as student-athletes at Pepperdine University, where Chan was a swimmer. They became engaged in October 2025 and are looking forward to starting a family together.
