ESPN is expanding its daily programming with a new hour-long show hosted by NFL analyst Peter Schrager. Titled 'Big Day with Peter Schrager,' the program is scheduled to debut later this month and will air Monday through Thursday at 2:00 p.m. ET.

The announcement was made on The Pat McAfee Show, which will now precede Schrager's new program.

Schrager's show will occupy a timeslot previously filled by a mid-day SportsCenter segment. The show will broadcast Monday to Friday outside of the NFL season. During the football season, the Friday 2-3 p.m. slot will feature a college football program titled 'Bussin with Pate,' hosted by Josh Pate, Taylor Lewan, and Will Compton.

Schrager, 44, will be joined by a rotating panel of guests, including former players, reporters, and potentially celebrities. Expected guests mentioned include Steve Smith, Jason McCourty, Adam Schefter, Ian Rapoport, and Mike Garafolo.

Schrager expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, stating, "This whole day has been surreal. I cannot freakin' wait, dude, this is awesome. Lifelong dream and we're gonna kick a** doing it."

The New Jersey native previously gained prominence at NFL Network, where he was a key figure on the show 'Good Morning Football.' Schrager joined ESPN last year and has appeared on the network's morning shows 'Get Up' and 'First Take,' as well as 'NFL Live.'

Fans have reacted positively to the news on social media, with one user writing on X, "This new show timing could be a nice little reset for the middle of the day, hoping it lands softly for all who need that familiar face on TV." Another commented, "Peter Schrager getting his own daily show on ESPN? That’s a must-watch."

A third user noted, "Going from Good Morning Football to anchoring his own daily afternoon show on ESPN in less than two years is a massive win. Can't wait to see the rotating panel of guests!"
