Peter Navarro, a former adviser to President Donald Trump, voiced strong disapproval on Steve Bannon's "War Room" podcast regarding U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro's decision not to dismiss a prosecutor in her Washington D.C. office. Navarro specifically targeted John Crabb, the prosecutor involved in his contempt of Congress case.

"Never mention her friggin’ name to me," Navarro stated, referencing Pirro. "That woman, still, refuses — refuses to fire John Crabb, the prosecutor who was involved in putting you and me behind bars, OK? So don’t you dare —."

Navarro was convicted for refusing to comply with a subpoena from the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. He served four months in jail. Similarly, Steve Bannon, who also refused to comply with the committee's subpoena, was convicted and sentenced to four months in prison. Crabb was reportedly a lead prosecutor in both cases.

According to the notes, Crabb told jurors at Navarro's trial that the former Trump adviser "acted as if he was above the law." Navarro's current remarks appear to tie into broader frustrations with Pirro, including Trump's own public criticism of her handling of a case involving an Olympian accused of damaging the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

Trump had urged Pirro to reconsider her decision in the reflecting pool case, with Navarro invoking the sentiment on the podcast. "The boss said ‘she choked’ on the Reflecting Pool case before circling back to his Crabb complaints," the notes state.

Navarro further emphasized his point, saying, "That guy is on the inside, Steve, of our Justice Department. That guy was responsible for so much. ... He went after you. He went after me. He should be gone. Jeanine, are you listening?"

Bannon, also appearing on the stream, stated, "I want Judge Pirro to know I had nothing to do with this. ... This is Navarro," at one point pausing to laugh.

The notes mention that Crabb was reportedly demoted in the U.S. attorney’s office for Washington, D.C., last year, which was perceived by some as retaliation during the Trump administration.
