Peter Krause is set to return to primetime television in the new NBC drama "Line of Fire," co-starring Hope Davis. The series, which premieres Monday, September 21, follows a family of law enforcement agents who navigate personal and professional boundaries while working for various federal agencies.

"Line of Fire" centers on the Hollingsworth family, whose members are involved with the FBI, U.S. Marshals, Secret Service, and Department of Justice. The official synopsis from NBC states that after a seemingly straightforward case unravels into a deadly conspiracy, the family must leverage their combined expertise to protect each other and apprehend the perpetrator, even if it means compromising their sworn duties.

The drama is created and written by Joshua Safran, known for his work on "Gossip Girl," "Quantico," and "Smash." Jenna Bush Hager serves as an executive producer, with certain aspects of the show reportedly inspired by her experiences as the daughter of a U.S. president.

In "Line of Fire," Krause will play Mike Hollingsworth, with Davis portraying Jane Hollingsworth. The cast also includes Tommy O’Brien as Mike “Micah” Hollingsworth, Kat Cunning as Clare Hollingsworth, Taylor Bloom as Russ Hollingsworth, Charlie Barnett as Jack, Antoinette Crow-Legacy as Nia Wallace, and Savannah Lee Smith as Sydney.

The first season of "Line of Fire" will consist of 13 episodes. The premiere episode is scheduled for Monday, September 21, at 10:00 p.m. ET on NBC. Subsequent episodes will air at the same time and day. All episodes will be available for streaming the following day on Peacock, with subscription options including Premium (with ads) for $12.99 per month and Premium Plus (ad-free) for $19.99 per month. Annual plans are also available, offering a discount for 12 months of service. Peacock can also be accessed through Amazon Prime Video with a seven-day free trial.

Krause previously starred for eight seasons as Captain Bobby Nash in the ABC drama "9-1-1."
