Pete Wicks has broken his silence on his relationship with Olivia Attwood, confirming their romance after making it Instagram official following a holiday to Ibiza. The former TOWIE star, 37, shared a series of photos with Attwood, 35, from their trip, marking the first time he has publicly displayed a relationship on social media.
Speaking on his podcast, 'Staying Relevant,' Wicks described the Ibiza trip as "magical." He mentioned spending time apart from Attwood while she was filming abroad and expressed how much he had missed her. "I hadn't seen Liv for two and a half weeks, so went to see Liv," Wicks stated. "It was wonderful to see her... we had a fabulous time, I have really hurt my back, because I was backflipping off boats, we went for lovely dinners, we went to clubs, we drank a lot."
Wicks' co-host, Sam Thompson, who has known about the relationship for some time, expressed his happiness for Wicks. Attwood also reacted to a clip of the podcast on Instagram, posting teary-eyed emojis and commenting, "That’s what happens when you have two and a half weeks no back flipping."
Attwood had previously indicated that she would not be the first to publicly post about their relationship, stating she was "protecting herself" while she figured out the relationship. Hours before Wicks' Instagram post, Attwood had mentioned on her podcast, "Olivia's House," that she "has a person" but would not be "hard launching" them on social media first.
Prior to Wicks' Instagram confirmation, the couple was seen displaying public affection in Ibiza, including at Cala Gracioneta. Wicks also sent Attwood 100 red roses to her hotel room during their trip. Attwood recounted receiving the roses on her podcast, humorously noting that Mark, who was present, questioned if they were for her.
Rumors of a romance between Attwood and Wicks first surfaced last summer after they were photographed together on a boat during a trip to Ibiza. At the time, Attwood was still married to Bradley Dack, from whom she later split in January.
Reflecting on those earlier photos on "Olivia's House," Attwood described the situation as having a "funny story" behind it, clarifying that while she was leaning on Wicks, "nothing happened."
Earlier this month, the couple was also seen sharing kisses by a pool at Nikki Beach club in St. Tropez. Wicks' decision to make their relationship Instagram official followed Attwood's subtle prompt, with Wicks captioning his post, "I guess someone has to go first…IBIZA."
Thompson responded to Wicks' post, writing, "Never thought I’d see the day YOU hard launch!! couldn’t be happier for you brother."
