Pete Davidson and his ex-girlfriend Elsie Hewitt have reached a co-parenting agreement for their daughter, Scottie Rose, a little over two months after their split. The agreement comes after Hewitt made public claims on social media that she was raising their child "on her own."
"We are cooperatively coparenting our daughter whose well-being remains our top priority, and we are fully committed to working together to give her love from both of us," the two stars said in a joint statement.
The couple, who welcomed their daughter in December, reportedly split after 14 months of dating. Sources close to Davidson refuted Hewitt's claims of sole responsibility, telling the Daily Mail that Davidson "covers all costs" related to their daughter, including childcare, Hewitt's rent, and health insurance.
An insider stated that Davidson has consistently prioritized spending time with their daughter since the split and "wants Elsie to be comfortable and successful." Another source indicated that the pair had "tried to make it work but there were different stressors, including having a baby together as two people who didn't yet know each other that well." It was also described as "very unlikely" that the pair would reconcile their romantic relationship.
Prior to the breakup announcement in May, reports suggested that Davidson and Hewitt were experiencing relationship issues, though they were attempting to navigate them.
Following the news of their separation, Hewitt posted on social media seeking a "right hand person" and in a TikTok video stated she was caring for her baby daughter and supporting herself "on my own."
Hewitt also responded to concerned followers regarding her financial situation, reportedly confirming she was handling it alone.
Hewitt has continued to share updates on social media about her motherhood journey, including celebrating her daughter's first swimming lesson.
