Pete Bennett Still Grieving Nikki Grahame Five Years After Her Death

Pete Bennett, the ex-boyfriend of late 'Big Brother' star Nikki Grahame, stated that he is still grieving her death, five years after she passed away at the age of 38. Bennett, who met Grahame on the reality show in 2006, described the ongoing trauma from her death and the difficulty of dealing with public interest in their past relationship.

"I’ve literally had next level trauma for years," Bennett said in an interview. "I’ve just literally just got over that and everywhere I go it’s the same, it’s really hard a lot of people want to talk about it."

He explained that it has taken him five years to reach a point where he can process his grief and that the subject remains triggering. Bennett expressed a deep sense of loss, wishing he could offer Grahame comfort.

Bennett and Grahame began a romance during their time on 'Big Brother' in 2006. While their relationship ended after about a month, they remained close friends. Bennett was still in contact with Grahame shortly before her death in 2021.

He recalled being aware of her declining health and that she had been hospitalized again. Bennett had even attempted to arrange a supportive message from Grahame's musical idol, Kate Bush, hoping it would help her recovery, but was too late to deliver it.

Nikki Grahame died in 2021 after a long battle with an eating disorder. Her death highlighted the ongoing struggles faced by individuals with such conditions.
