An individual required hospitalization following a collision between a jet ski and an inflatable carrying children off the coast of Hampshire. Emergency services responded to the incident near Calshot Activity Centre around 6 p.m. on Saturday.

The adult involved sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. The individual operating the jet ski was reportedly unharmed. Two children who were on the inflatable were brought ashore safely.

HM Coastguard coordinated a significant response, which included lifeboats, the Coastguard Rescue Team, police, and ambulances. Access points to the area were temporarily closed from the car park down to the activity centre.

Hampshire Constabulary initially requested that the public avoid the vicinity, describing the situation as a 'concern for welfare incident.' The force later confirmed that the entrance to the activity centre had been reopened. The specific circumstances leading to the collision have not yet been confirmed.
