Chris Booker, co-host of "The Perez Hilton Podcast with Chris Booker," has offered an update on the show's future following the hospitalization of gossip blogger Perez Hilton. Hilton was hospitalized late Tuesday evening in Miami after livestreaming apparent self-harm.

Booker shared a statement on Instagram Tuesday evening, expressing profound sadness for Hilton and his family. "I am so profoundly sad for Perez and his family and what they’re all going through. It’s truly unimaginable," Booker stated. He noted that he had spoken only briefly with Hilton's family and intended to honor their wishes for privacy during this difficult time.

He added that even Hilton's family is facing challenges in obtaining updates due to hospital security measures amid public interest. Booker indicated that any official updates would be released via PerezHilton.com.

Regarding the future of the iHeart Podcast and Patreon shows, Booker stated that "it's all TBD at the moment as our collective focus is on his health." He expressed hope to continue the shows with Hilton when the time is appropriate and promised to provide updates when he feels the moment is right. "We’ve done these shows for over a decade now and the support from our listeners has been resounding. He is very loved," Booker said. "I can only hope that he feels it. Heal up friend."

Miami-Dade County Sheriff's Office units were dispatched to Hilton's Miami home on Tuesday after receiving multiple calls about an individual livestreaming acts of self-harm on social media. Without naming Hilton, the sheriff's office confirmed that an individual was safely recovered and transported to a local hospital for medical attention. The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office Crisis Response Unit and licensed mental health professionals were also on scene to support the individual's family. 911 dispatch audio indicated that first responders were called to the residence due to a "suicide attempt." Hilton was reportedly alone in the home at the time of the incident. His mother and three children also reside at the residence.
