Penthouse Pet Adva Lavie Under Investigation for Allegedly Drugging Billionaire Ex-Fiancé
The social media influencer faces new scrutiny as police investigate a ketamine drugging allegation involving Stephen Cloobeck, adding to existing charges.
Police are investigating whether influencer Adva Lavie, formerly known as a Penthouse Pet, drugged her billionaire ex-fiancé Stephen Cloobeck with ketamine. The allegation emerged as part of a police search warrant obtained by The Los Angeles Times, adding a new layer to existing legal troubles for Lavie.
Lavie, 29, is already facing felony charges for allegedly using dating apps to defraud wealthy individuals. Investigators are now examining events that transpired during her relationship with Cloobeck, 64. The ketamine probe came to light in August when the Los Angeles Police Department sought permission to search Lavie's phone.
According to the warrant affidavit, Beverly Hills Detective Steve Own observed Lavie at a restaurant in July. Own, aware of prior allegations, noted that Lavie appeared to be without her court-ordered ankle monitor. He had been investigating claims that Lavie was drugging Cloobeck with ketamine. Cloobeck had previously filed a report with the Beverly Hills police, though the warrant does not detail the circumstances or the basis for the drugging investigation.
Lavie's attorney declined to comment on the ketamine allegation. The social media personality, who also goes by names including Mia Ventura, has pleaded not guilty to charges of grand theft and residential burglary. Prosecutors allege she targeted wealthy older men and younger women through dating apps between 2023 and 2025 in various Los Angeles areas.
Investigators are also looking into potential cases involving Lavie in other locations, including Florida, Italy, and France. In July, during the Coachella Music Festival, Indio police reported that Lavie allegedly stole thousands of dollars worth of luxury items, including a Rolex watch, Louis Vuitton accessories, and cash, from a victim. She reportedly drove away in the victim's Cybertruck, though she has not been formally charged for this incident.
Lavie's arrest for being without her ankle monitor led to her being taken into custody. Her attorneys' attempt to seek mental health diversion was unsuccessful. During a recent hearing, prosecutors presented jailhouse recordings they claim show Lavie bragging about exploiting Cloobeck.
The former couple's relationship had already ended prior to these developments. Cloobeck called off their engagement in early June, canceling their wedding plans. Lavie also moved out of his Beverly Hills mansion. Despite the split, a source close to the couple indicated that Cloobeck remained on friendly terms with Lavie.
Cloobeck has also faced legal issues, having been arrested in May on charges of attempting to dissuade a witness and harassment. His attorney has reportedly denied these charges.
