Pentagon Releases Sixth Batch of UFO Files, Including 1952 Footage

The Pentagon has released its sixth batch of declassified files related to unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), commonly known as UFOs. This latest release includes footage from 1952, showing what appeared to be a group of bright airborne objects filmed near Tremonton, Utah, by U.S. Navy Chief Warrant Officer Delbert C. Newhouse.

Newhouse submitted the footage to the U.S. Air Force, and it was later reviewed by Project Blue Book, the Air Force's official UFO investigation program that operated from 1952 to 1969. However, investigators were unable to reach a definitive conclusion regarding the nature of the objects due to the film's limited detail and the absence of fixed reference points.

This release is part of a broader effort by the Pentagon to declassify hundreds of UAP-related files. The initiative gained momentum following an executive order from former President Donald Trump calling for the release of such documents. The first tranche of 161 files was uploaded to the U.S. defense department's website on May 8, with subsequent releases following.
