A Pennsylvania man accused of beating his mother to death surrendered to police on live television Sunday afternoon. Jakob Korber, 29, was arrested hours after his mother, Christin Hamilton, 53, was found dead outside her Sewickley Township home.

Local outlet KDKA-TV was filming at the scene when Korber was spotted walking casually nearby, wearing a high-visibility shirt. As a police vehicle approached, Korber placed his hands on his head and knelt on the ground, surrendering to officers. The exchange was captured on camera.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, camera footage from outside the residence allegedly shows Korber attacking his mother for more than an hour. The assault reportedly began when Hamilton went outside to let her dog out early Sunday morning. Police stated the attack lasted for a sustained period, during which Hamilton pleaded for her life.

Trooper Steve Limani described the act as "disgusting" and "vile," noting that Korber allegedly showed no mercy. He added that Hamilton's daughter discovered her mother naked and deceased outside the home around 9 a.m.

The Westmoreland County District Attorney's Office alleges that Korber used his hands, feet, and multiple objects found on the front porch during the prolonged assault. Limani noted that neither neighbors nor Hamilton's daughter reported hearing any cries for help during the attack.

Following his apprehension, Korber allegedly confessed during an interview that his actions led to his mother's death. Limani stated that Korber expressed a "small part of remorse" but emphasized that the assault lasted over an hour and could have been stopped at any point.
