Pelle Larsson Signs $60 Million Contract Extension with Miami Heat
The Swedish wing secures a four-year deal, solidifying his role in Miami's revamped roster.
Pelle Larsson has agreed to a four-year, $60 million contract extension with the Miami Heat, according to reports from ESPN's Shams Charania. The deal, which includes a mutual option for the 2030-31 season, keeps the Swedish wing in Miami following a significant offseason for the franchise.
Larsson is set to earn $2.3 million in the upcoming 2026-27 season on his rookie scale before the extension begins. In the first year of the new deal, 2027-28, he is reportedly slated to make $13.5 million, with annual increases thereafter.
The Heat have been active in reshaping their roster this offseason. The team recently acquired Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis in a blockbuster trade. In that deal, Miami sent former All-Star Tyler Herro, Sixth Man of the Year contender Jaime Jaquez Jr., and recent first-round draft picks Kel’el Ware and Kasparas Jakucionis, along with future first-round picks. The No. 13 overall pick in the 2026 draft, which Milwaukee used to select Nate Ament, was part of the package.
More recently, Miami added shooters Klay Thompson and Tim Hardaway Jr., further building around Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo.
Larsson, 25, emerged as a significant contributor in his second season. He saw a substantial jump in scoring, averaging 11.4 points per game in 2025-26, up from 4.6 the previous year. He started in 54 of his 70 appearances. His all-around game also improved, with his rebounds increasing from 1.7 to 3.5 per game and his assists rising from 1.2 to 3.4 per game.
Standing at 6-foot-5, Larsson proved to be an efficient player, shooting nearly 50 percent from the field and 32.3 percent from three-point range, making 62 of 192 attempts from beyond the arc. He is also a key player for the Swedish National Team, where he showcased his scoring ability by averaging 26 points per game in four contests during FIBA 2027 World Cup qualifiers. During that stretch, Sweden achieved a 3-1 record, including an upset victory over Finland. Larsson scored 31 points in that particular game. In the previous summer's EuroBasket tournament, he averaged 18.8 points and 4.4 rebounds, leading Sweden's efforts, although the team was eliminated in group play with a 1-4 record.
