The rift is significantly exacerbated by the loss of a baby by Peaty's brother, Jamie, and disputes surrounding Adam's wedding to Holly Ramsay, daughter of chef Gordon Ramsay.
Sources indicate that the seeds of the conflict were sown in 2024 when Jamie Peaty and his wife Charlotte experienced the stillbirth of their third child, Josh, at 23 weeks gestation. According to a family source, Jamie had asked Adam for support at the funeral, but Adam reportedly chose to attend a wedding for one of Holly Ramsay's friends instead. "Jamie lost a child, which broke his heart and Charlotte’s," a source close to the family stated.
