Paulina Porizkova and Jeff Greenstein have married, announcing the news via a joint Instagram post on Friday. The couple shared photos of themselves embracing, with Porizkova displaying a diamond ring.
The ceremony took place in Italy, where the couple had previously discussed the complexities of the legal marriage process. "Getting legally married in Italy as an Italian is complicated enough," they stated in a prior post. "When you add the combo of two foreign people, you’re talking about roughly seven months of paper work. And the fun seemingly never ends, even once you’re declared married."
Greenstein, 63, proposed to Porizkova, 61, in July 2025, after two years of dating. Porizkova, a Sports Illustrated cover star and author, was previously married to Ric Ocasek, frontman of The Cars, from 1989 until their separation in 2018. They shared two sons, Jonathan and Oliver.
Ocasek died unexpectedly in 2019 from heart disease. Porizkova found him deceased in their home. Following his death, she spoke about her grief and revealed that Ocasek had secretly removed her from his will, leading her to rely on friends for support. She has shared her journey through grief publicly, including a video on the two-year anniversary of Ocasek's passing.
Porizkova was briefly linked to Aaron Sorkin in 2021. In May 2023, she and Greenstein made their relationship public.
In the days leading up to their wedding, Porizkova revealed that she was being evicted from her New York City apartment, where she had lived since 2021. The landlord did not extend her lease. "We have to move out of here four days before we get married in Italy," she shared on their podcast "Twenty Good Summers." "We are both over 60, and we are starting again."
The couple owns other properties. Porizkova co-owns a country house with her sons, and they are in the process of selling Greenstein's Los Angeles home. "For the time being," Porizkova stated, "we can go there."
