Alicia Scholes, the 25-year-old daughter of former Manchester United footballer Paul Scholes, recently displayed her scars in a bikini during a holiday in Portugal. She had been hospitalized earlier this month at Tameside General Hospital for an undisclosed reason. Scholes shared images on Instagram, noting, "Took my 3 brand new shiny scars away."

The netball player, who plays for England and London Pulse, shared several sun-drenched photos. She also posted pictures in a pink and white heart-printed underwear set, where plasters covering her scars were visible, and in another cut-out bikini. Mirror selfies in her sleepwear also showed the scars.

This follows a heartfelt tribute Alicia posted in November to her father after he spoke candidly on the podcast "Stick to Football" about the challenges of raising his non-verbal autistic son, Aiden, who is Alicia's younger brother. Scholes described the difficulties of raising a neuro-diverse child while playing at the top level of football and expressed his concerns for his son's future care.

Alicia expressed her love and admiration for her father's openness about their family's situation. She wrote, "God knows how hard that episode must’ve been!!!!! We love you so much." She acknowledged her father's sacrifices in balancing his career with being a present parent.

Alicia, who is dating Love Island star Ayo Odukoya, has a significant following on Instagram. She has previously spoken about the pressures of living with a public profile due to her father's fame, describing how she has faced online criticism and assumptions about her character and achievements. She noted that the constant scrutiny and comparisons have led to her having to perform at a higher standard to gain acknowledgment.
