Paul Pelosi, the husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was seen publicly for the first time since being charged with misdemeanor hit-and-run following a July 3 crash in Napa County.

Images showed the 86-year-old arriving at his family's San Francisco home on Sunday, dressed in a blue quilted puffer vest over a light-colored polo shirt and golf trousers. He appeared to keep his head down while crossing the property.

Pelosi was charged on Friday with misdemeanor hit-and-run for allegedly crashing his convertible into a parked car and leaving the scene on July 3. Deputies responded to the incident in Yountville, where a witness directed them toward a northbound vehicle that had collided with a parked car on the shoulder, causing significant damage.

Following the collision, Pelosi's vehicle became disabled. He later admitted to hitting something but stated he was unaware of what he had struck. Authorities confirmed that alcohol was not a factor in this particular incident.

This recent charge adds to a history of driving incidents for Pelosi. The New York Times reported that he had accumulated at least eight driving violations over more than a decade, including citations for speeding, running red lights, and driving the wrong way on a one-way street. In 1957, at the age of 16, Pelosi was involved in a fatal car accident where his 19-year-old brother David, a passenger, died.
