Paul Hollywood has resumed landing his £500,000 helicopter on the rear lawn of his £1 million farmhouse in Kent, months after being forced to park the aircraft at a local aerodrome due to noise complaints.
Local residents have reported seeing the "Great British Bake Off" co-star, 60, piloting his Robinson R44 Raven helicopter as recently as three weeks ago. The resumption of his noisy commutes has led some neighbors to revive their complaints.
"They're disgruntled about it because of all the noise," one resident living near Hollywood's Ashford outskirts property told The Mail on Sunday. "The ones living behind his house, they're really in the coalface. He's Paul Hollycopter!"
Another neighbor confirmed observing Hollywood flying the helicopter into his garden three weeks prior. "I don't think he had any intention of stopping [using it]; he still had that windsock up in the field," the resident added.
Flight logs obtained by the publication indicate Hollywood's helicopter was used last week for an 18-minute journey from an area near Maidstone to Kent International Airport. Hollywood, who began pilot training in 2022, has also been using the helicopter for his 120-mile commute to Berkshire for filming the latest series of Channel 4's "Great British Bake Off."
Earlier this year, it was reported that Nigella Lawson, Hollywood's "Bake Off" co-star, found his travel arrangements "all rather cringe." Lawson, 66, who has replaced Prue Leith as a judge on the show, commented on their on-screen dynamic in a recent interview, stating, "What will people say of us on the programme? I feel that half will go, 'Oh, there's clearly something going on with them,' and the other half will say, 'Oh, clearly they don't like each other at all.' I feel like that's fine."
However, Hollywood's neighbors have expressed less diplomatic sentiments. Two years ago, residents previously complained about disturbances caused by the television presenter flying over their homes. Hollywood is rumored to earn approximately £14 million annually, and he and his wife, Melissa, are said to enjoy using the helicopter for trips to luxury hotels.
