Mason Gascoigne, son of former footballer Paul Gascoigne, is appealing for public support to fund treatment for his girlfriend, Jaimee Sharp, who has been diagnosed with an aggressive and incurable brain tumor. Sharp, 28, received the diagnosis of an IDH1-Mutant, CNS WHO grade 4 Astrocytoma and is seeking £320,516 for a clinical trial in Ohio, which offers a potential chance for more time with their five-year-old son, Teddy.

Jaimee Sharp has already undergone surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible and is currently receiving radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Despite these treatments, doctors have indicated that the tumor is likely to progress, with a median survival rate of approximately five years. "More than anything, I desperately want more time with my little boy. Being Teddy’s mummy is my whole reason for existence. And I’m not ready to say goodbye," Sharp stated on the GoFundMe page established for her treatment.

The clinical trial in Ohio involves a new drug specifically for tumors like hers. The fundraising goal of over £320,000 must be met within one month to allow her to participate in the trial. As of the latest update, approximately 50% of the target amount has been raised, with donations totaling over £146,000.

Mason Gascoigne, who was adopted by Paul Gascoigne, has shared his gratitude for the support received, highlighting the positive impact it has had on Jaimee. "It's given her this hope and this belief... and this community she never knew was there for her," he said on Instagram. He emphasized the importance of sharing her story, noting that "every donation, no matter how small, matters."

Mason and Jaimee welcomed their son Teddy in March 2021. Paul Gascoigne also has an adopted daughter, Bianca, who has a daughter named Blake Sunshine. The family is hoping to secure the necessary funds to give Jaimee more time with her son.
