Paul Carafotes, '80s TV Star and Ex-Demi Moore Lover, Seen in Rare Public Appearance

Paul Carafotes, the actor famed for his role on the '80s drama 'Knots Landing' and for his past relationship with Demi Moore, was recently spotted in Los Angeles. Now 67, Carafotes appeared with a salt-and-pepper beard and his hair covered by a baseball cap, presenting a noticeably different look from his younger years.

Carafotes was seen wearing a grey Boston hoodie and sweatpants, paired with brown worker boots, during his casual outing. He was accompanied by his dogs. His distinctive appearance was noted by media outlets, drawing attention to the actor who has largely remained out of the public eye.

Known for playing Harold Dyer on 'Knots Landing' from 1988 to 1990, Carafotes also starred alongside Tom Cruise in the 1983 film 'All the Right Moves.' His other acting credits include appearances in 'Fight Club,' 'Tulsa King,' 'Mindhunter,' and 'ER.'

In 2019, Carafotes publicly discussed his past affair with Demi Moore, which he claimed occurred on the eve of her 1980 wedding to Freddy Moore. He alleged that Moore climbed a fire escape to his apartment the night before her marriage. Carafotes stated that the affair, which began after they met on the set of the 1981 film 'Choices,' lasted for months. Moore later alluded to infidelity before her wedding in her 2019 memoir, 'Inside Out,' though she did not name Carafotes.

Carafotes has also ventured into children's literature, authoring a series of books and audiobooks titled 'The Adventures of Charlie Bubbles.' He resides in La Crescenta-Montrose, California, with his wife, Toni, and their two children.
