Patsy Kensit Rules Out Romance After Four Marriages

Actress Patsy Kensit, 58, has expressed that she no longer desires or has any interest in finding love following four unsuccessful marriages. She has also ruled out the possibility of using dating applications to find a fifth partner.

Kensit, who was once a self-described 'hopeless romantic,' feels that this aspect of her personality has diminished due to numerous negative experiences. "I used to be a hopeless romantic. That has changed," she told The Times. "I no longer want, feel or have any interest in matters of the heart. It’s a sad thing to say because you shouldn’t have lost that but I’ve had too many bad experiences now. It’s just not worth it."

She now considers her two sons, Lennon, 26, and James, 32, to be the "loves of her life." Kensit mentioned that she misses them and that having them was the "best, most important thing I’ve ever done."

Kensit's marital history includes four public marriages. Her first marriage was to musician Dan Donovan in 1988, which ended in 1991. She then married Simple Minds frontman Jim Kerr in 1992, and they share her eldest son, James. This marriage concluded in 1995.

Her third marriage was to Oasis singer Liam Gallagher in 1997. They had a son, Lennon, before divorcing in 2000. Kensit was a prominent figure during the Britpop era, and her marriage to Gallagher was highly publicized, including a famous 1997 Vanity Fair cover shoot with Gallagher. Kensit later recalled that Noel Gallagher, Liam's brother, had once questioned her decision to put her career on hold during that period, suggesting she was "too afraid to leave him on his own."

Kensit's fourth marriage was to DJ Jeremy Healy in 2009, which lasted approximately 10 months. The actress also reportedly accepted a proposal from Patric Cassidy in 2022, but the relationship ended.

Earlier in her career, Kensit also had a long-term, private romance with actor Terence Stamp, which she kept secret for 35 years.
