Patrick Mahomes offered a glimpse into the wedding of his Kansas City Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce and singer Taylor Swift, sharing photos from the New York event on social media. Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, were among the approximately 1,000 guests who gathered at Madison Square Garden for the ceremony on Friday night.
Prior to the wedding, Mahomes and his wife had not been publicly photographed at any pre-nuptial events, including the rehearsal dinner held on Thursday. However, Brittany Mahomes later shared a series of photos from a night out with friends in New York, which included images of the couple. Patrick Mahomes subsequently posted his own pictures from their trip.
The images shared by Mahomes appeared to capture moments before the wedding festivities. In some photographs, Brittany Mahomes is seen wearing a light blue dress and a silver necklace, while Patrick Mahomes is depicted in a tuxedo. One photo shows the couple embracing, and another captures them in the back of a taxi, presumably en route to Madison Square Garden. Mahomes also shared images of his wife with friends and a photo of the couple together.
Additional photos from their New York excursion showed Mahomes in a double-breasted suit, with Brittany Mahomes in an olive dress paired with gold shoes. The exact timing of this group outing and whether the couple attended the more intimate rehearsal dinner remains unclear.
Following the wedding, the Mahomes returned to Kansas City on Saturday to celebrate the Fourth of July with their family. Brittany Mahomes shared videos on her Instagram story of Patrick Mahomes with their children, enjoying a firework display at their home, just one day after attending the New York ceremony.
The Mahomes have developed a close friendship with Kelce and Swift since their relationship began in 2023. The Kansas City Chiefs had a significant presence at the wedding, with owner Clark Hunt, coach Andy Reid, and many players in attendance.
Notably, kicker Harrison Butker was reportedly not invited to the wedding. According to an NFL source, Butker is believed to be the only member of the Chiefs roster who did not receive an invitation. Butker previously drew criticism for remarks made during a commencement speech at Benedictine College, where he suggested women should prioritize motherhood over careers and commented on political and social issues.
