Patrick Clancy's New Wife Defends Him Against 'Twisted' Attacks

Patrick Clancy's new wife, Rachel Danis, has publicly defended him against what she described as "so twisted" attacks and conspiracy theories following the mistrial of his ex-wife, Lindsay Clancy, who was accused of murdering their three children.

In an upcoming appearance on "60 Minutes," Danis, an infertility specialist, praised Patrick Clancy as "the most selfless father and supportive partner."

"I don’t understand how the story’s been so twisted," Danis said in a preview of the interview. "But I would hope people know that Pat is, as I said before, the most selfless father and supportive partner."

She also addressed criticism of their relationship, stating, "I was just a girl that met a guy running in Central Park on a really cold Saturday. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that."

Patrick Clancy, 38, remarried in April and now resides in New York. He has faced a barrage of online threats and accusations of involvement in the deaths of his children since the trial began. His ex-wife, Lindsay Clancy, was accused of strangling their children—Cora, 5; Dawson, 3; and Callan, 8 months—in 2023. The case ended in a mistrial on September 4 after the jury deliberated for seven days without reaching a unanimous verdict.

Lindsay Clancy's defense team argued she was not guilty by reason of insanity, and 11 of the 12 jurors reportedly agreed that she was suffering from severe postpartum psychosis. However, one juror held out, preventing a unanimous decision.

Patrick Clancy discovered the deaths of his children when he returned to his Massachusetts home in January 2023. The "60 Minutes" interview is his first public statement since the trial concluded.
