Patrick Clancy Lists Manhattan Apartment for Rent Amid Personal Turmoil
The father of children killed in Duxbury, Massachusetts, is moving out of his New York City residence after his ex-wife's mistrial.
Patrick Clancy has placed his one-bedroom apartment in Manhattan's Midtown East neighborhood on the rental market for $6,550 per month. The 748-square-foot unit is scheduled to become available on December 11.
The apartment is located in Aalto57, a 65-story residential tower developed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. The building, completed in 2016, features a distinctive facade inspired by Finnish designer Alvar Aalto's vase.
Residents of the building have access to numerous amenities, including a rock climbing wall, a basketball court, a game room, a children's playroom, a gym, and a terrace with grilling facilities. The building is also pet-friendly and includes a Whole Foods market on the ground floor.
Clancy, who works remotely for Microsoft, moved to New York City several months after his children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and 8-month-old Callan, died in Duxbury in January 2023. Their mother, Lindsay Clancy, faces charges for their murders, with her defense team citing postpartum psychosis as a factor.
Lindsay Clancy's trial concluded in a mistrial on September 4, following seven days of jury deliberations that did not result in a unanimous verdict. She is currently being held without bail at Tewksbury Hospital, and a date for a potential retrial is pending.
Patrick Clancy has previously spoken about the personal tragedy. In an interview with The New Yorker in 2024, he stated, "I wasn’t married to a monster, I was married to someone who got sick." He filed for divorce in 2024 and subsequently married Dr. Rachel Danis, a fertility specialist. The couple confirmed they are expecting their first child together in a recent "60 Minutes" interview.
Clancy also sold his former home in Duxbury, Massachusetts, a colonial-style house at 47 Summer St., in an off-market transaction for $675,000 in January 2024. He and Lindsay Clancy had purchased the property for $500,000 in 2018.
