Patrick Clancy and Wife Rachel Danis Announce They Are Expecting a Child
In their first joint interview since Lindsay Clancy's mistrial, Patrick Clancy and his new wife, Rachel Danis, shared the news of their growing family.
Patrick Clancy and his wife, Rachel Danis, revealed they are expecting a child together, during a joint interview on CBS's "60 Minutes." This marks Clancy's first public statement since the mistrial of his ex-wife, Lindsay Clancy, who was accused of murdering their three young children.
"And you guys are starting a family," journalist Ross Douthat asked the couple, to which Danis confirmed. Patrick Clancy expressed his eagerness to share memories of his deceased children, Cora, Dawson, and Callan, with their future sibling. "I think every parent can agree, you have different relationships with your kids, but they’re all your kids. And I can’t wait to tell them about their brothers and sister," he stated.
Danis, who is an infertility specialist, and Patrick Clancy married in April in a ceremony at New York City's Central Park. Danis mentioned that they first met in the same park. She addressed online criticism of their relationship, saying, "I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that."
Patrick Clancy relocated to Manhattan after discovering his children had been killed in their Massachusetts home in January 2023. He later met Danis, and the two began a relationship. Photos shared on social media show the couple attending fitness classes and participating in the NYC Marathon.
Lindsay Clancy's trial for the murders of their children ended with a hung jury earlier this month, leading to a mistrial. The prosecution had stated they would likely seek to retry her.
