Pat Ricard, a former nine-season fullback under John Harbaugh in Baltimore, has expressed confidence in Harbaugh's suitability for the New York Giants. Ricard described Harbaugh as a "great leader of men," highlighting his ability to manage team cohesion amidst offseason distractions.

"I mean, just look at all the stuff that’s happened this offseason with this team just in terms of the media and the social-media stuff, and he completely nipped it out of the bud every single time and just really made sure this team stayed together," Ricard stated, referring to Harbaugh's perceived effectiveness in handling team matters.

Ricard, who played for Harbaugh as a "smashmouth fullback," believes that Harbaugh is "made for New York," echoing sentiments from John and Chris Mara, key figures within the Giants organization. The former player emphasized that one must "be on your toes" when dealing with Harbaugh's demanding leadership style.
