Disgruntled locals, aware of the circumstances surrounding the death of his late wife, Mica Miller, have allegedly voiced their disapproval.

Sources indicate that Miller and his new wife, Suzie Skinner, were asked to leave Travinia Italian Kitchen in Myrtle Beach after patrons and staff complained about their presence. The couple was later reportedly jeered by patrons at Uncle Tito's bar in Murrells Inlet. These incidents come as a growing number of protesters continue to gather near Miller's Mercy Church, which now operates from a smaller venue.

Mica Miller, 30, died by suicide days after serving divorce papers to John-Paul Miller, 44. The documentary delves into the events leading up to her death. The narrative has intensified public scrutiny of the pastor, who married Skinner on the sands of Myrtle Beach on June 1, 2025, less than a year after Mica's passing. Their union drew accusations of an affair while Mica was still alive.

Protesters have been a consistent presence outside Mercy Church for months, congregating on a traffic island across the road to heckle Miller and his congregation. Miller now leads services for approximately 50 individuals from a former nail salon located in a strip mall.
