A passenger on an American Airlines flight was duct-taped to his seat after engaging in disruptive behavior, including shouting slurs and making sexually explicit comments. The incident occurred on American Airlines flight 618 traveling from Dallas to Newark on September 3.
New video footage shows the passenger, identified as Arthur Layne Lundeen, 67, duct-taped and zip-tied to his first-class seat. In the video, Lundeen can be heard making lewd remarks about another passenger's anatomy, shouting, “You have a little tiny d–k. You have a little tiny d–k. All you little f–king … whoa, oh yeah.”
According to court records, Lundeen also directed racial slurs at a flight attendant and made anti-gay comments before being restrained. The severity of his behavior necessitated an emergency diversion of the flight to Baltimore, Maryland.
Maryland Transportation Police arrested Lundeen at the Baltimore airport. He was subsequently charged at the state level with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct. Lundeen, who reportedly works as a realtor in Tucson, Arizona, was released after the video of his mid-flight outburst gained traction online.
The flight was en route from Dallas to Newark when the incident forced the plane to land in Baltimore. The videographer who captured the footage, seated across the aisle, can be heard laughing in the background.
