Parody Account Roasts Governor Hochul as 'First Gentleman'
A satirical X account impersonating Bill Hochul, Governor Kathy Hochul's husband, has been posting critiques of her policies and public appearances.

A parody X account, claiming to be Governor Kathy Hochul's husband, Bill Hochul, has been humorously criticizing the New York governor's actions and policies. The account, which presents itself as an "award-winning attorney with over 40 years of experience, currently serving as First Gentleman of New York," has garnered attention for its satirical take on Hochul's public endeavors.
The parody account has targeted Hochul's initiatives, including a recent press event where she was depicted sitting with elementary school students to promote a free school meals program. In a September tweet, the account jested, "My mouth is watering as I look at those delicious school lunches. I remember hearing that French kids were served wine with their school lunches back in the day, but that’s nothing compared to the amazing lunches served to New York’s schoolchildren."
Another post from the account satirized Hochul's perceived disconnect from everyday financial struggles, tweeting, "I’ve got news for you. Politicians and their families can be working class folks who live paycheck to paycheck— just look at me and Kathy, barely scraping by!"
Additionally, the parody account has commented on Hochul's regulatory actions, writing, "Regulation is key to economic success. That’s why my wife, Governor Kathy Hochul, has enacted a dizzying number of new regulations in New York."
The account has also extended its satirical commentary to broader political topics, including a response to a New York Post story concerning Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. The parody account quipped, "Just by writing slop like this you are disrespecting the sanctity of their marriage!"
As of Thursday, the parody account had a modest following of 34 users. The real Bill Hochul is an attorney with over 40 years of experience and is married to the governor.
