A parenting influencer's 2-year-old daughter drowned in their home swimming pool on Father's Day, the influencer announced on social media. Jamal Morton, 33, shared the heartbreaking news with his 2.6 million Instagram followers, calling his daughter Rose "the best daughter a father could ever ask for."

Morton explained that Rose "thought she was a big girl and could swim all by herself." He stated that she walked out of the house and into the pool, where she drowned. The incident occurred on Father's Day. Morton, who is known for his comedy parenting skits and "Gentle Parenting" series, is the father of nine children, with Rose being the youngest.

In an online fundraiser, Morton described the loss of a child as a pain he would not wish on his worst enemy. He posted a montage of photos from Rose's birthday celebration in April, which featured a Peppa Pig-themed bounce house and a pink balloon shaped like the number "2." He also shared a video from April of the previous year, showing Rose's first steps, which he had filmed near the pool at his Hoschton home.

Morton announced Rose's birth in April 2024. He stated that he and his wife, Jessica, are unable to remain in their home following the tragedy and plan to move. He also indicated that he does not believe he will be able to work again anytime soon. The authorities have not yet released a statement regarding the incident.
