Parades Commission Decision on Drumcree Parade Forthcoming

The Parades Commission is expected to announce its decision on whether the Portadown District Orange Order will be permitted to parade along the Garvaghy Road in Portadown. The parade, scheduled to commence Sunday at 1 p.m. BST from Drumcree church and conclude by 2:30 p.m. at Carleton Street, would involve 60 individuals marching silently without bands.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland has activated mutual aid arrangements to support contingency planning for the anticipated policing operation in Portadown on Sunday.
