Paige Price has defended her ex-partner, actor Frankie Muniz, against criticism surrounding their lighthearted announcement of divorce. The couple, who were together for 10 years and share a five-year-old son, Mauz, revealed their separation with a video of them dancing and a statement.

Muniz, 40, initially posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) featuring him, Price, and their son dancing to "Check Yes, Juliet" by We The Kings, accompanied by a statement. He captioned the post, "Who says you can't stay best friends with your baby momma?"

Following a negative public reaction, Muniz deleted the video and re-shared the statement on Instagram, accompanied by a family photo from one of his NASCAR races. Price, 33, commented on Muniz's original post, expressing sorrow for his need to delete the video due to "people's cruelty."

"Frankie, I am so sorry that you felt the need to delete an old fun video of our family because people are so cruel to you... This world is so f****d... divorce is bad, sure — it's not like we're excited about it — but we're two adults who know how to be on the same team... I can't believe people could scrutinize that," Price wrote.

The updated statement shared by Muniz indicated a mutual decision to end the marriage after a period of private separation. "After 10 beautiful years together, we've grown in ways that made us realize our relationship feels most natural and strong as a deep friendship and as co-parents," the statement read. "We share an incredible son who remains the center of our world, and we're both happier, stronger parents because of the love and growth we've shared."

Muniz expressed gratitude for Price's support, acknowledging that she had put her own plans on hold for his career aspirations. "I'm endlessly grateful to Paige for everything she's done for me and our family. She put her own dreams on hold so I could chase mine, and she was always my biggest supporter," he stated. "That foundation of respect and friendship isn't going anywhere. We're excited to keep building Muniz Racing together and to co-parent our boy with the same teamwork and love we've always had."

Price and Muniz met in 2016 and married in 2019. Their son, Mauz, was born in March 2021. Earlier in 2026, Muniz had described his wife as a "saint" for her sacrifices that allowed him to pursue his dreams, noting the detrimental impact his career had on their personal life.

The couple concluded their statement by requesting privacy. "We're closing one chapter with gratitude and opening the next with bright futures ahead, for us as individuals and especially for our son. Thank you for the love and support. We both choose to not entertain any questions on this matter. Please respect our families privacy during this time."
