Boxing icon Oscar De La Hoya has publicly accused former President Donald Trump of cheating during a round of golf they played together.

De La Hoya, a multiple-time world champion in various boxing weight classes, told the Associated Press that Trump repeatedly bent the rules in his favor. According to De La Hoya, Trump moved his ball from the rough onto the fairway and did not count shots that landed in the water.

"It was unbelievable," De La Hoya said. "It shows something about his character."

He added, "Golf is a gentleman's sport. You don't lie about your score; you don't lie about moving your ball. It goes to show what we're dealing with."

De La Hoya's accusations align with claims made by several other individuals who have played golf with Trump. Veteran sports writer Rick Reilly, who detailed Trump's alleged history of golfing dishonesty in a book, described similar patterns of behavior. Reilly claimed Trump would move his ball to better lies and even kick opponents' balls into sand traps.

In one anecdote from Reilly's book, Trump hit a ball into a pond, only for it to reappear in the fairway. When questioned, Reilly stated Trump attributed the event to "the tide."

British golf writer Kevin Brown also recalled an incident in 2012 at Trump's golf course in Scotland, describing Trump as impatient and urging playing partners to hurry.

Trump has consistently denied allegations of cheating, previously asserting that he possesses "too much integrity" to do so. These recent comments from De La Hoya add another voice to the ongoing public discourse surrounding Trump's golfing practices.
