Orlando Bloom Recalls 'Sincere' Threesome Scene in 'Bucking Fastard'

Orlando Bloom has shared details about filming an intimate threesome scene with sisters Rooney Mara and Kate Mara for Werner Herzog's film "Bucking Fastard." Bloom, who stars as Gareth Mulroney in the drama, described the scene as a "very sincere sort of moment" that he, Rooney, and Kate created together.

Bloom plays a "sensitive" character caught between twin sisters Joan and Jean Holbrooke, portrayed by Rooney, 41, and Kate, 43, respectively. He noted that while the characters have "carnal desires," there is also an "innocence to the sisters."

The film, loosely based on the lives of identical twin sisters Freda and Greta Chaplin, premiered at the Venice Film Festival on September 3rd. Bloom, Rooney Mara, and Kate Mara attended the premiere together, hitting the red carpet in support of the film.

Director Werner Herzog also commented on the scene, explaining that there are moments when a director must "step back." He recalled telling Bloom, "You are in bed, and you have two women in your arms. How you deal with it, I cannot give instructions." Herzog described the scene as "beautiful," possessing "such charm and depth."

Bloom was recently photographed vacationing with his daughter, Daisy Dove, and a mystery woman. He shares Daisy Dove with his ex-fiancée, pop star Katy Perry, with whom he confirmed a split in 2025. Bloom was previously linked to Swiss model Luisa Laemmel, 28, after they were seen leaving the Super Bowl together in February.
