Oprah Winfrey and her longtime partner Stedman Graham were seen together in a rare joint photograph at a celebration marking the 15th anniversary of Harpo Studios in Chicago. The couple, who have been together for 40 years, have largely kept their relationship out of the public eye.

The sighting was their first joint appearance in over seven years, with their last public outing being the Tyler Perry Studios grand opening gala in 2019. Winfrey, 72, and Graham, 75, posed with celebrity chef Art Smith at the event held at Navy Pier. The gathering celebrated the 15th anniversary of Harpo Studios, Winfrey's multimedia production company.

Winfrey wore a cream-colored cropped blazer with a pinstriped pattern and matching trousers. Graham sported a classic black suit. The couple, who are not married, met in 1986, the same year Winfrey launched The Oprah Winfrey Show. They became engaged in 1992 but later called it off the following year, opting to remain a couple without a traditional marriage.

Winfrey has previously spoken about her decision to not marry Graham, stating in a 2020 essay for O, The Oprah Magazine, that she realized she didn't want a marriage but rather wanted to be asked. She also noted that she did not want the sacrifices and compromises required to make a marriage work, as her show was her priority.

In 2019, Graham discussed the longevity of their relationship, attributing their success to individuality and mutual support. He emphasized his dedication to Winfrey's happiness and his own satisfaction in pursuing his own skills and talents, which he believes has contributed to their enduring bond.
